Include a call-to-action in every single social media post you share about your app
The price and value of your app are major selling points
Never give away full workouts on your social channels — that’s what your app is for!
When it comes to growing a successful subscription business, social media marketing strategies are key. You know how important it is to develop a routine for your app content and social posts, but there are so many other essentials you need to understand when it comes to growing subscribers through digital marketing. Here, we’re going to walk you through the types of social media posts that we know are proven to convert sales.
Remember to always share your sales landing page!
Your sales page is your digital storefront — it needs to be easy to find so people can subscribe to your app. Your sales page should never be more than one or two clicks away.
Always use your sales page, rather than the Apple Store link, or you will lose 30% of your sales.
Note: To find and share your sales page in the Playbook Creator app, click the profile icon in the lower right corner.
On the next page, click “Promote” at the top. Here, you can copy and share your sales landing page link, free trial link, or a gift subscription.
We recommend purchasing a domain name from GoDaddy.com, then using GoDaddy’s domain forwarding feature to redirect your Playbook sales page URL to your newly created website URL.
For full instructions on how to create a domain with GoDaddy.com, click here.
Include a call-to-action (CTA) to download your app in every single social post about your app, as doing so is proven to have a compounding impact on your traffic over time.
Note: Notice how they’re not giving away the full workout on their Instagram feed, they’re directing followers to download their app!
You must develop marketing habits — and stick with them — in order to see results. For specific recommendations, check out our article on building a routine. Every post makes a difference and can be used to drive customers. Don't know when to post? Check out this article to help you decide the best time(s).
Remind potential customers of the insane value you’re providing them for their minor investment. For example, use the following prompts in your social posts:
“Just $0.27/day and you can train with me!”
“Just $8.33/month to work with me — that’s the cost of two Starbucks drinks!”
“All of this for just over $2/week. Think about what you will spend $2 on this week.”
“You have me as a coach in your pocket for only $0.27/day.”
“I have weekly workouts and programs for just $8.33/month.”
Remember, you don’t ever want to share a full workout on your social channels. If you share full workouts, there’s no reason for users to pay for your app!
Instead, tease your app on social by:
Providing videos, but not the required sets and reps for workouts
Leaving an exercise out of the routine you share
Then, use language like “For my entire workout, download my app for free...”
When creating Instagram Feed carousel posts, include an image with a CTA to download your app.
Here’s a simple format to follow:
Clip 1: Exercise video
Clip 2: Exercise video
Clip 3: Exercise video
Clip 4: Image with CTA to download your app

Watch this great example from Playbook creator Ida Jemina, who posts five to eight Instagram Stories daily.
She then adds these to a pinned Instagram Story Highlight like we mentioned earlier!
