Claire Thomas’ Core Challenge was so successful that she is releasing another one. The new six-week challenge starts August 1 on her CPT Fit app and includes quick and effective core and HIIT workouts designed to define and strengthen your abs while also torching stubborn fat. Plus, you can do them anywhere — you can get a sweat sesh in at the gym, at home, on vacation, or on the road. “I actually wasn’t originally planning on doing another Core Challenge this summer. However, my previous challenge was such a huge hit and so many members saw such incredible success, so I knew I had to do another one as soon as I could,” says Thomas.
Grand prize winner from the challenge in May, Jessica, lost 13 pounds in less than two months. And while Thomas definitely looks at physical transformation to pick a winner, she also looks for mindset results too. Jessica was successful in both areas: “I’m over the moon excited about my progress! I am so grateful for my mental progress and visible abs have always seemed out of reach for me. So I think I’ll look at these abs like a badge of honor, always remembering where I started and forever grateful for the changes outside AND inside.”
Every week, participants will get a total of five workouts — three core and two HIIT. Since the exercises can be done from anywhere, Thomas has alternative exercises for those who don’t have the equipment that may be required.
It doesn’t matter whether you are a beginner or more advanced, anyone can complete this challenge. For those just starting out, Thomas provides modifications for harder exercises. The main thing to remember is that consistency is key. Thomas says it’s most important to show up for yourself every day.
“My number one piece of advice for anyone starting my challenge is to take it one day at a time. I always say, don’t compare your chapter two to someone else’s chapter twelve. The best thing you can do is to give each day your best effort. Don’t let winning prizes be your motivation because the best prize of all is YOU. You could win your habits, your health, your confidence, and your happiness if you choose to truly commit! Most importantly, remember to have FUN!”

Thomas is a firm believer that abs are “sculpted in the gym, but revealed in the kitchen.” The CPT Fit app has several different guides that include nutrition tips, a grocery list, sample meal plans, and hundreds of her healthy recipes.
As a sneak peek, Thomas shared her Orange Creamsicle shake recipe — perfect for the summer and a protein-packed, post-workout option.
Orange Creamsicle Shake
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
½ c. lite orange juice
½ tsp. vanilla extract
½ orange, peeled
½ frozen banana
1 c. ice cubes
Whipped cream & orange slice, for topping
Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
Top with whipped cream and an orange slice and enjoy!
